Information about ATPL THEORY

Theory ATPL(A)

We would like to invite people who have a PPL (A) pilot license and want to continue training for ATPL (A) professional qualifications, and then apply to the airline.

The training will be conducted with the participation of our qualified lecturers and instructors. Trained Pilots will gain the necessary knowledge, skills and experience that will directly translate into the further development of the aviation career.

The training includes 650 hours of thematic classes in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 and the training objectives included in the new syllabus “2020”. The training program includes the following subjects:

  • General navigation
  • Instrumentation
  • Flight planning
  • Meteorology
  • Human performance & limitations
  • Communications
  • Mass & balance
  • Radio navigation
  • Aircraft general knowledge
  • Aviation law
  • Operational procedures
  • Principles of flight
  • Performance


The training includes 650 hours of thematic classes in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 and the training objectives contained in the new syllabus “2020”. The training program includes the following subjects:

contain in appropriate proportions different types of learning objectives in accordance with AMC1 Annex 3 PART-FCL, such as classroom work; consultation; demonstrations, including those supported by demonstration equipment; group and individual exercises based on pre-flight and route planning, communication, presentations and projects; exercises using demonstration or training equipment; exercise; trips to airports and aviation companies; e-learning components; progress tests, Area 100KSA assessments, and math.

The first stage of the 583-hour course, carried out using distance self-learning on the Padpilot platform, along with extensive training materials.

The second stage of training lasting 67 hours, carried out in the form of stationary training at ATO Adriana Aviation and is aimed at verifying the knowledge acquired on the e-learning platform, supplementing it and extending it with the scope of 100KSA, which are fully integrated with the individual subjects of the ATPL program.

During the on-site training, the lecturer or instructor selects related topics depending on the level of the group, based on the level of experience and aviation experience of the participants.

The training includes the assessment of competences in the so-called KSA100 area. The KSA100 training certificate should be submitted to the Civil Aviation Authority before taking the exam in the last subject.

Bridge Course ATPL(A)

The ATPL Bridging Course is dedicated to pilots who have completed the ATPL(A) theoretical course, however, they are not able to complete the ATPL (A) theoretical examinations within the required time limit.

ATO Adriana Aviation is the only one to conduct a CAA-approved course to compensate for the differences between the old and new syllabus and, additionally, 100KSA training

108 hours of e-learning education using the PadPilot platform,
22 hours of stationary education at Adriana Aviation
